Healthcare PE deals neared $90B in 2022
Bain & Company’s 12th annual Global Healthcare Private Equity and M&A report was recently published, reflecting the continued resilience of the healthcare industry, with 2022 seeing near-record levels of healthcare deal making, in terms of both volume and value.
Despite a slowdown caused by macro-economic and geopolitical forces in the second half of the year, 2022 was still the second-best year on record for healthcare deal making, due in large part to the white-hot pace of investment at the start of the year.

MIT professor on AI and the future of the supply chain
In a new book, the founder of MIT’s Center for Transportation and Logistics examines how increasingly automated industries can sustain jobs.
Global supply chains are immense feats of technological and organizational sophistication. They are also, as the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic showed, vulnerable to unexpected developments. Utilizing reshoring to mitigate future supply chain issues
As companies across the globe grapple with the lingering effects of the pandemic on the supply chains, one potential solution has emerged: reshoring. This practice of bringing back manufacturing and sourcing to domestic markets has been gaining popularity in recent years, even through obstacles of cost, time and other limitations.
As a part of this turn to reshoring, many supply chain operators have already expanded into Latin America, providing an Asian alternative and a viable backup if supply chain disruption rears its ugly head again.

IDN Directory Blog:
IDNs are so hard to get to today and health systems where you don’t yet have business are even harder to build a relationship with. If you want to get any traction with a health system that you currently don't have business with, you have to build trust first.
